Latest Updates from Our Project:

We blasted through our target … now we stretch!
over 10 years ago – Sat, Oct 31, 2015 at 01:26:23 AM

Wow! What an incredible 10 days it has been for LooBlade!

Today we pushed through our £20k target - and we still have almost 3 weeks to go!

By hitting this target, we can confirm that LooBlade will become a reality.

Huge thanks to every one of you who has supported us in our goal to revolutionise toilet cleaning – we literally couldn’t have done it without you.

Stretch goals: Bamboo edition (and more)

Hitting our target so early has inspired us to set our first stretch goal:

If we can increase our funding to hit £30k before the end of the campaign, then we will manufacture a Bamboo edition of LooBlade for those looking for a more natural effect (see below). Upon hitting the £30k mark, we will unlock the Bamboo model as a new reward on Kickstarter, priced at £25. The silicone cleaning head remains the same, of course, but the new bamboo handle brings a further eco-touch and style twist to the LooBlade range. And for those concerned about losing the germ-killing properties of the original LooBlade handle, fear not – bamboo is naturally anti-microbial!

Finally, if we hit £30k, we will let you know about the ultimate version of LooBlade that will become available at £40k… Ooooh, exciting! Stay tuned!

*Note that the Bamboo model will not be available as one of the colour choices in the current pledge levels.

We've only just begun...
over 10 years ago – Sat, Oct 31, 2015 at 01:12:01 AM

I just wanted to communicate with everyone as we move into the final week of our campaign.

It's been a remarkable journey. We've been joined by so many, and your impact is felt and now etched in the history of this thing that we're in together.

Kickstarter is about envisioned 'early-adopters'; the people who recognise innovation and get behind it. The people who therefore themselves enable and create it. It's really quite remarkable, and I acknowledge the support that Kickstarter themselves have given us.

We saw the potential to make a difference, to create a product that actually has real, quantifiable positive impact on the planet and on human behaviour.

It seems very simple, but like most things that seem so, the ripples they make are bigger than are maybe first obvious...

I embrace and applaud you all for your vision and whole-hearted support for LooBlade :)!

Stretch goal in sight!
over 10 years ago – Fri, Oct 30, 2015 at 10:18:19 PM

We are closing in on our stretch goal with just over a week to go! Over 800 backers!

Thank you to everyone who has supported and got behind the LooBlade with such commitment!

We are so keen to release the Bamboo model. It's a different manufacturing process and set up, so we have to reach the goal to make it possible :)!

Spread the word and keep on helping us make this key area of human resource-use a great deal more sustainable!

Blade to the Future!
over 10 years ago – Wed, Oct 21, 2015 at 06:46:31 PM

Just halfway through our campaign, and we're well above target, and well on the way to our first stretch goal!

We have over 700 backers and some great feedback, and we're gathering superb media coverage worldwide!

Thank you for joining in with our vision, and helping us to realise it with your support!

On a personal note; we made target on my birthday, October 16th; we made halfway on 'Back to the Future' day!! How awesome is that...!

I feel like Doc Brown in my De Lorean hurtling forward to somewhere really interesting!

Together, we know we 'can'!

To all our incredibly supportive backers, an enormous thank you!

We are well on the way to our stretch goal so keep spreading the message, and help us make a clean swipe of this next target! Exciting things ahead!

As a little entertaining aside, here's a 'History of the Loo':

Fascinating in its global and chronological diversity. My home nation, Scotland, features as one of the first recorded examples of 'toilet-technology'; five thousand years ago at Skara Brae; along with cradling the invention of the first true flush-down S-trap pan in 1775 by Alexander Cumming.
